Art exhibition "Dirty fork and other nice things"

Toinen linja 2, 00530 Helsinki
Restaurant Rytmi

A collection of paintings inspired by Monty Python's sketches and the 1970s style and colors.

Johanna Loikala's solo exhibition offers humor and nostalgia.

"I especially like combining fine art and funny insights. This is strongly expressed in my works, where the humor borrowed from Monty Python sketches is reflected both in the narration and in the absurd elements.

Playing with the figurative language and colors of the 1970s is another key element in my art. I love the era's bold color choices and graphic shapes, which I use in my works to create strong visuals.

All the works are paintings on canvas, where I have strived for accuracy and attention to detail. The precise hand-crafted painting process allows me to express myself precisely and create works where every element is carefully placed and the color surface is carefully thought out.

I try to arouse hilarity in the viewer with my works and at the same time offer a small piece of nostalgia and a unique atmosphere. I hope that these works of mine bring joy and maybe even a little surprise to those who get to know them."
