Did you know that the potato on your plate and the milk in your coffee are the result of determined research? The Food for Everyone exhibition offers a generous dose of the history of science seasoned with a touch of humour.

Clean and safe food is self-evidence in Finland these days. Finland has not experienced a famine in more than 150 years. On the other hand, the nutrition of Finns has changed enormously in a short time.

In the past, scientists fought against hunger and deprivation. Nowadays, new kinds of questions are being solved, and food choices evoke emotions. People are not necessarily aware of how science has influenced the history of food and what food-related images are based on.
