EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art
EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art is a museum for powerful art and transformative experiences. The exhibition programme profiles Finnish and international modernism, contemporary art and design.
EMMA's exhibition spaces - the largest in Finland - are situated in the architecturally impressive WeeGee building designed by Professor Aarno Ruusuvuori. The industrial and modern architecture adds to the experience-focused presentation of the changing exhibitions and permanent collections of EMMA and its partners: Collection Kakkonen, Saastamoinen Foundation and Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation.
EMMA forms part of the Exhibition Centre WeeGee in the Tapiola district of Espoo. The trip from Helsinki to Tapiola takes only 20 minutes on the metro. With the same museum ticket, you can visit the Futuro House, Mauri Kunnas exhibition and KAMU Espoo City Museum. Cafe Zoceria WeeGee and EMMA Shop are also at your service.
EMMA Shop is a treasure trove for lovers of art, design and architecture. In the museum store, you will find among others, unique glass and ceramic art by Finnish artists, art books and souvenirs from EMMA's, KAMU's and WeeGee's exhibitions and the Futuro-House.
Free entrance to Exhibition Centre Weegee’s museums on Fridays from 3pm to 7pm.
