Alvar Aalto's Villa Kokkonen

Located on the shore of Lake Tuusula Villa Kokkonen is the former home of composer Joonas Kokkonen (1921-1996) completed in 1969. It is one of the few private houses designed by Alvar Aalto (1898-1976).

Pianist Elina Viitaila and opera singer Antti A. Pesonen now occupy the house, cherishing the cultural heritage of the villa and hosting guided tours, which culminate in a musical performance by the couple.
