Wednesday art workshops

At Wednesday art workshops, you can experiment with various crafts and art techniques.

The tasks at the workshops are easy to learn. The workshops are open to both children and adults, and they are free of charge.

Workshop themes:

Wed 1 February | Point-to-point embroidery
We will make small decorations on canvas. You get the materials from Vuosaari House, but if you have a particular tote bag or item of clothing that you want to decorate, take it with you.

Wed 1 March | Vanishing salt painting
We will create temporary salt paintings on a black background. The process is important. You can enjoy creating the painting and seeing it transform until it is destroyed.

Wed 5 April | Wild Easter twigs
We will decorate willow branches to make them special. The workshop is not just for children, but for anyone young at heart.

Wed 3 May | Rattling colours!
Let the wind come! We will make decorative paper windmills and, if the weather allows, go outside to test them.
