The exhibition Tuesday Dinner with Drinks takes into the world of strong, bold and colourful food images and uncomplicated food instructions from the 1970s.
It is based on a series of food articles provided by photographer and county artist Juhani Riekkola and his wife home economics teacher Eeva Junkkari-Riekkola. The series was published weekly by Aamulehti in 1974–78.
The main function of the photographs was to show the reader clearly and attractively which ingredients the portion consisted of and how it was made. Riekkola's photographs attracted a lot of special attention in the newspaper, because of their distinctive style and colour.
The exhibition is produced by Vapriikki with additions from drink culture by Hotel and Restaurant Museum.
