That is where death ends and a new life can begin. The Boy and the Heron is Hayao Miyazaki's autobiographical fantasy about life and death, a story about creation and the meaning of friendship. The film is also Miyazaki's first feature film in ten years. It was produced by Toshio Suzuki, one of the founding members of Studio Ghibli. The music for the hand-drawn film was created by longtime Miyazaki composer Joe Hisaishi. The theme song is performed by J-Pop superstar Kenshi Yonezu.
