The aim of the event is to bring foreigners living in Finland together and encourage them to appreciate and celebrate Finland’s welcoming spirit.

Africans and African European Association (AFAES), Finnish-Indian Society, Women Designed for Success, Sierra Leone Consulate Planning Office Finland, and Earth Angels of Finland are organising with Maunula House an festive Thank you Finland -event on Tuesday 5th of December at 17.30-21.30 in Maunula House.

We will celebrate and recognize Finnish people, organizations and companies who have helped immigrants with integration. Some of the recognized people are social workers, teachers, employers and community leaders who have demonstrated commitment to diversity, participation and social fairness. 
 
There will be fashion, music, A Journey to Finland – Immigrant stories of adaptation discussion as well as speeches from social influencers, for example Finnish minister of agriculture and forestry, Sari Essayah and leader of the Left Alliance Finland, Li Andersson. The evening ends with an uplifting afro beat concert by Frankosun and the Family.  
 
The event isn't political, and it's free for anyone but in order to participate, you must register for the event. There are a limited number of seats available for anyone who wishes to participate as an audience member. Register here
