Since its inception, jazz trio Sir Garrison has been chasing a sound to call its own Sir Garrison’s music is composed by the band members. When playing, the trio members respect each other’s ideas and, in this way, the individuals complement each other to produce an intimate, honest and captivating sound together.
La Litanie des Cimes – or The Litany of the Peaks – is an acoustic trio founded by violinist Clément Janinet in 2019, with clarinettist Elodie Pasquier and cellist Bruno Ducret. The compositions, which are reminiscent of Janinet’s repetitive music, are built of interwoven rhythmic textures that are inspired as much by American minimalism as by folk music. The compositions leave ample room for improvisation.
