Sibelius Academy lied concert: Jussi Littunen (piano) & Veikko Vallinoja (baritone)

Jussi Littunen began his musical career at the Turku Conservatory and professional studies at the Helsinki Conservatory, where he became especially interested in lied music. Currently, Littunen is completing his master's degree in music at the Sibelius Academy.

Veikko Vallinoja is a baritone from Helsinki, whose wide-ranging interest in vocal music spans from the Renaissance to contemporary music. Veikko has been called a text-oriented singer, whose pleasantly coloured voice lends itself to multi-toned storytelling. Veikko studies singing at the Sibelius Academy.

Littunen's and Vallinoja's almost ten-year collaboration has been awarded e.g. fourth place and special prize in the Copenhagen international lied duo competition, final place in the Helsinki lied competition and a recognition grant from the Martin Wegelius Memorial Foundation.
