SADE Sessions are back!! What are they?
Low threshold street/club dance & DJ practice sessions, created to get a common location for that sweet Sunday practice. The music will change genre throughout the session, so let's get together no matter what dance you do.
🕑 When? every first sunday of month 13:30-16:30
🏬 Where? Tiivistämö (Kaasutehtaankatu 1, Helsinki)
🌟 Free entry!
Rollerskaters:
📢 You're liable for your own safety. Mind others and skate with care.
📢There are no rental skates, so make sure to bring your own if you want to roll!
Deejays: The same concept is still on, meaning if you want to come and practice your DJ-ing in front of a dancing crowd, send us a DM @sade_finland and we'll add you to the list! We have decks and controllers so feel free to play in a way that suits you the best, just remember to bring your own music. Send us a DM for a more detailed equipment list.
For the dancers you just need to bring yourself and your vibe<3
SAFER SPACE GUIDELINES
We kindly ask you to read through and engage in these safer space guidelines before attending the sessions.
✨We ask you to not make assumptions of others based on their background, gender, sexuality, identity, ethnicity etc.
✨Let’s ask for consent.
✨Respect each others as well as our own boundaries (physical, mental and emotional).
✨Let’s be aware of the privileges and prejudices we have as well as the space we take.
✨We wish that everybody are able to have a space where they are able to participate as they are.
✨All kinds of harassment, discrimination and breaking of boundaries will result in removal of the said harasser from the premises. In these situations you can inform the SADE ry staff who will be introduced in the beginning of the event. Want to add something? DM us <3
These guidelines above are inspired by Javiera Marchant, Urban Apa and Feminist Culture House.
By engaging in the safer space guidelines we are all able to enjoy ourselves throughout the event and leave the venue with lots of new, beautiful, slightly sweaty memories🍃
ACCESSIBILITY
