In Helsinki, the public has the opportunity to explore the research vessel Aranda.

Experts from the Finnish Environment Institute will detail Aranda’s marine research activities and answer questions about the Baltic Sea. Visitors can learn about the vessel's research equipment and laboratories and meet the captain on the bridge. There is an audio-visual installation of the underwater noises.

Children are welcome on Aranda with a supervising adult. However, it is not safe to move around the vessel with infants in arms. For safety reasons, daycare or other child groups cannot be accommodated. The number of people on board must be limited, so visitors may need to wait before boarding.

The research vessel is not accessible to those with mobility issues.
