Taisto Tammi (born Taisto Lundberg) left an indelible mark on Finnish music during his short life. Thanks to several records, Taisto Tammi's warm voice and heartfelt performances are still a significant and lively part of Finnish pop music and tango culture. RNO Tango has invited Marco Lundberg, with whom the orchestra has previously recorded Taisto Tammi's music to be the vocalist. Marco Lundberg has an exceptionally close relationship with Taisto Tammi's music: Lundberg is Taisto Tammi’s nephew.

Marco Lundberg is known for his versatile singing. As a performer of Finnish tango, he rose to the attention of the general public after winning the prize of the tango king at the Tangomarkkinat festival in the summer of 2016. Lundberg is also known for his sophisticated and tonal interpretations of traditional entertainment music.

RNO Tango is a ten-piece ensemble of the Riku Niemi Orchestra (RNO), founded in 2005, whose mission is based on studying and presenting the styles of Finnish tango as original arrangements and respectful orchestrations. In most cases, this means transcribing the arrangements from records and other historical recordings. The repertoire of the ensemble is extensive and covers Finnish tango from the 1930s to the present day.
