PianoEspoo: Severin von Eckardstein

A long-awaited recital by Severin von Eckardstein will be held at the House of Nobility. 

Eckardstein is a pianist whose amazing tone and exquisite renditions have been speaking to audiences at the major European concert halls ever since his victory in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2003. 

The magnificent Bösendorfer in the House of Nobility – a hall steeped in atmosphere – brilliantly lends itself to a programme including Eckardstein’s own transcription of the tone poem Death and Transfiguration by Richard Strauss and the monumental eighth piano sonata by Serge Prokofiev.
