NYPY is a contemporary circus piece about women’s rights and freedom. It is a fusion of tightrope walking, contemporary dance and crafts – especially lace-making.

It features a Slavic mythological figure, Vesna, who embodies freedom and women’s rights. The voice of the Slavic mythological and ritualistic female figure Vesna is muffled, as is the voice of so many women, in the noise of male-dominated society. Sensitivity and softness are Vesna’s powers, which she uses to seek out the listener, the viewer and the experiencer.
