Nostalgic Thursday Dancing: Vinyl Dances

Tempted by the tango, want to twist and shout, or flashdance to the disco? The Villa Hakasalmi's great hall is host to 1950s–70s dances, reflected by Volker von Bonin’s photography exhibition. Join Mikko Mattlar, scholar of Finnish popular music history and DJ, as he plays old favourites on vinyl records and tells the stories behind them. You can get a crash course for the dance steps at 17:30–18:30, with a refresher on the night's dances with the help of dance teacher Kimmo Luukkonen.
