Night of the Arts at Kanneltalo enchants us with music and natural beauty.
Accordion, kantele and shakuhachi can be heard all the way to the café when Kaiun kajo, a group that combines different folk music traditions, gets up on stage. At Sitratori, everyone gets to create floral decorations and bouquets at the Hupsansaa Flower Buffet workshop.
6 pm Kaiun kajo
Kaiun kajo is a band of three musicians from different backgrounds, whose music combines Finnish, Estonian and Belgian folk music as well as traditional Japanese music compositions and melodies. The band creates through improvisation, meditation and presence. They use layered textures and listen and combine their instruments’ timbres, among other things. This results in a structure that only lasts for a moment, with the chance to inspire and be remembered.
