Jokerit Helsinki ice hockey club was founded in 1967 and it has won the Finnish league title six times (1973, -92, -94, -96, -97 and 2002) and the European title twice (1995 and -96).

In the 2023-24 season, Jokerit is playing 11 regular season and all playoff games at the Helsinki Ice Hall where the club previously hosted games in the 1996-97 season.
