Massiveness and Still Life

Massiveness and Still Life reflects on experientiality: how to make visible its intellectualization and conceptualization on the level of matter? The performance is a choreographic spatial piece for 6 performers, a piano and selected non-human materials.

Choreographer Sara Gurevitsch's starting points with the piece are D. Haraway's concept of 'co-companionship', collaboration with pianist Roope Gröndahl, observations about changes in bodily states and classicism. The work is a journey amongst unitards, classical piano music, piano and moving bodies, where the performance chews on the universal myth of the history of Western dance.
