Sointi Jazz Orchestra's sixth studio album is inspired by the wonders of nature and the contradictory relationship between nature and man.

Rasmus Soini's compositions reach for the edges of traditional jazz orchestral music and beyond: the compositions are influenced by a variety of musical styles and improvisations. SJO's familiar, colorful arrangements and abundant use of alternate instruments are also strongly present in new compositions. Come and celebrate the release of Sointi Jazz Orchestra's new album!

Sointi Jazz Orchestra is an 18-piece band formed in autumn 2013. SJO is known for its unique jazz orchestra sound, which arises from, among other things, unusual instrumentation and adaptations that make extensive use of alternate instruments. Each year, the band conducts new, specifically tailored concert ensembles, with distinctive soloists ranging from Juhani Aaltonen to Aili Ikonen and Mathias Eick to Maria Faust.

The band tries to do things boldly and differently, and it does not shy away combining different genres. SJO's concerts take the listener on gripping musical journeys from the first minutes to the last chord. The band's previous band album, Kolibri, received a Teosto Award nomination in 2022.
