This spring, Savoy celebrates the National Day of Brittany. This region in the north-west of France has a rich Celtic culture, which can be heard and felt above all in its music and dance.

Born in the heartlands of Brittany, the band Startijenn is armed with iconic Breton instruments (including various bagpipes and wind instruments) and Breton language vocals and rap, which roll forward like a steamroller against the rhythms of guitar and bass. Prepare to be dumbfounded!

Startijenn, whose Breton name means energy, draws on its roots to create a powerful, vibrant sound that is respectful of tradition yet contemporary. The band’s unique composition combines traditional instruments (bombard, binioù, Irish bagpipes, diatonic accordion, etc.) with rock and trance rhythms.

Called the undisputed masters of the dancefloors of Brittany, the band has made a name for itself by performing around the world for more than 20 years, becoming a fixed star of festival mainstages in that time. In May, the Startijenn locomotive will roll into Finland for the first time, for what promises to be a passionate, atmospheric and certainly energetic experience.
