kytät – Open Stage

kytät is a fresh Helsinki-based band with an indie rock vibe, but transcending genre boundaries, a much-needed and refreshing newcomer to the Finnish music scene.

Formed by Matias Laatu, Laura Hämäläinen, Mika Sallantaus and Sohvi Honkanen in 2022, the band released their debut EP Merkitseviä Katseita in the spring of 2023.

With a warm reception on Spotify playlists, the band has performed at venues such as Bar Loose and Lepakkomies in Helsinki, as well as in smaller towns across Finland. Those who have seen the band live know that their stage presence leaves no one indifferent.

The band’s music combines powerful guitar sounds, seductive bass lines and strong drums with the melodic sound world created by two vocalists, whose remarkably subtle spirituality is one of a kind.
