Founded in 1929, the choir has thirty singers, most of whom are students of the University of Helsinki. In addition to the current composition of HOL, the concert will feature a large choir consisting of current and former choir members.

The program includes beloved classics, e.g. music by Sibelius as well as more recent choral works such as Thomas Jennefelt's Two Anthems and Z. Randall Stroope's The Conversion of Saul.

The choir is performing Berliner Messe composed by Arvo Pärt together with organist Markku Mäkinen.

The concert will be led by Hiski Wallenius together with the previous directors of HOL.
