The Hetki festival will take place again on Saturday 3 February 2024 at the Maunula House in Helsinki. This time the festival is organized as a one-day event. The Hetki festival focuses on dance improvisation as a form of performance. The festival has been organized before in 2018, 2019 and 2021 in different spaces around Helsinki.
This year's Hetki festival offers a full day of dance improvisation with four dance artists. Leading the workshops and performing are the wonderful dance artists Soile Lahdenperä, Liisa Risu, Vera Nevanlinna and Kaisa Kukkonen, who have had a strong influence on the professional field of dance for decades.
Festival day 3.2. consists of Hetki Sessions workshops aimed at dance professionals and those studying the profession, guided small group discussions open to everyone and a performance afternoon. All events of the festival are free of charge and accessible.
