The Proposal will transport you to a world where love, misunderstandings, and absurd situations collide. Through witty dialogue and satirical elements, Chekhov unveils the flaws that lie beneath the surface of polite society, making us question our actions and motivations.

The Proposal is a farce-comedy by one of the world’s most celebrated playwrights Anton Chekhov.
Neurotic but hopeful young Lomov returns to his village to propose to his neighbor Natasha. Her father Chubukov sees an opportunity to increase his wealth and happily supports their union. Natasha seems to be such a robust woman, and it feels like Lomov has to climb a mountain to get to propose to her. Or who is proposing? Meanwhile, our characters’ pride leads them into insignificant arguments and most absurd situations. The performance is in English.

Be prepared, this theatre is somewhat minimalistic. The theater has no ceiling and no comfortable seats. If you have a hiking chair, you could bring it with you.
