Concluding its survey of the complete a cappella choral works of Erkki Melartin, the Helsinki Chamber Choir presents some real rarities, many of them unpublished and edited from the manuscripts by Sakari Ylivuori especially for this project. Amongst the works possibly being performed for the first time ever are his Seven mystical penitential psalms. 

The concert also includes unpublished works by L. Onerva – better known for her poetry – as well as little-known music by Greta Dahlström and Martin Wegelius. Much-loved classics by Jean Sibelius and Toivo Kuula complete the programme.
