Finnish Nature Day in Haltia

Finnish Nature Day will be celebrated in August at the Finnish Nature and Hiking Center Haltia, when everyone can hike in nature and strengthen their own well-being.

During the day, a versatile program is available for people of all ages to support mental, physical and social well-being. Get your family out into nature on a free guided trip, an adventure to the forest or come and listen to a Swedish-language travel etiquette story at the Haltia gallery! You get to enjoy the well-being effects of nature on the guided Forest Wellness trip with the help of eco-training exercises, and the restaurant Haltia serves planetary food for dinner in honour of the holiday.

The day culminates in the advance screening of Ilveskuiskaaja in the Haltia hall. In the documentary, Hannu from Rauma follows the movements of lynxes through game cameras, and an unusual relationship develops between them.
