Emma Immonen: I Write To Make You Stop

The "I write to make you stop" -poetry exhibition by Emma Immonen deals with the challenges of the mental world; anxiety, happiness and its pursuit, the hectic world and living in the moment. 

The texts move from anxiety to happiness; from darkness to light. This is to remind that happiness lives in the small moments and people should remember to pause.

"The exhibition consists of poems and a spoken word piece. Writing has always been a fitting way for me to vent my creativity and deal with emotions. I love it when a tickling phrase comes to mind that makes me want to write more about it. I write mostly poetry and lyrics, most of which are unpublished. My first publication was my short story I know where I belong in the short story anthology Beyond the Blue Perils, published in 2022. Music has always been close to my heart and that's why my texts often contain endings."
