DocPoint-klubi: Jesse Markin

DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival is proud to present Jesse Markin, who drifts seamlessly somewhere between indie, rock, soul, hip hop and beyond.

Markin was awarded at Emma Gala, Femma Gala and Indie Awards after his debut album FOLK (2019), which brought him also Teosto Award, one of the biggest Nordic music prizes. Markin’s sophomore album NOIR (2021) was a huge success among critics. It blended genres even bolder but was lyrically more intimate and empowering. Markin is a charismatic performer and his gigs at sold out clubs and big festival stages have been praised as well.
