December Hike in Viikki District

In December, Friskis&Svettis Helsinki's hiking tour takes you to the parks and fields of Viikki.

The route starts from Latokartano Sports Park and proceeds along Viikinojanpuisto Park to Patteripellonraitti. Through the Viikki Science Park, the journey continues to the rest area at Viikintori Mall, where you can find bathrooms, a supermarket, a restaurant and a cafe. There are also benches indoors for enjoying your own snacks.

After the break, the hike continues through Maaherranpuisto Park towards Viikki Arboretum and Säynäslahdenpuro. After Viikinranta, it crosses the Matinkaari Bridge and continues along Toukolan rantapuisto Park to Arabianranta. 

The tour ends at the "oasis of resting lions" sculpture, which is right next to the Arabia Shopping Centre with good transport connections.
