Choir Concert: Meanwhile Elsewhere

Samaan aikaan toisaalla (‘Meanwhile elsewhere’), by composer Säde Bartling, and librettist Veli-Pekka Hänninen, is a musical passion drama for two choirs and soloists. 

Although the drama has elements of historical passion, it also opens perspectives to write and compose the passion story in a new way. The piece is mostly unaccompanied, except for harp played by James, and sound effects created by composer Stefan Bartling. The work was premiered in Kallio Church in 2018.
