Playful Tiger tells the story of a tiger’s visit to a rigid family home where he turns their world upside down. It's chaotic but brilliantly fun, with a focus on sensory engagement.

Playful Tiger is for children and young people age 7+ with complex autism who are mainly non- verbal. Playfulness within the work creates space for a two-way response between audience and performers.

Made in collaboration with Ellie Griffiths Projects, this piece interacts directly with the audience, with a focus on sensory engagement.

The capacity of the show is 8 young people with their families and carers. Close to the performance venue there will be a relaxed space where the audience members can go before, after and if needed during the performance.

Bravo! POP-UP
Barrowland Ballet, the charming and internationally acclaimed Scottish dance company, comes to Stoa as part of the Bravo! pop-up event on 27–28 October 2023. The group’s two wonderful works Tiger Tale and Playful Tiger are a preview of the Bravo! festival of performing arts for children and young people, which will take place in the cultural centres of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area between 15 and 24 March 2024.
