Why do we like melancholic minor chords so much, wonders the Aaltokoski working group when they prepare a dance evening, where the viewers also have the opportunity to be part of the events. "The barn dance culture is a crystallisation of something very essential about the Finnish way of life and thinking," says award-winning choreographer and dance artist Alpo Aaltokoski.

The performance space is built in a dance restaurant atmosphere, where the evening begins with beginner-level club dance instruction and culminates in an open call. It’s still okay to be a wallflower!
