Emerging venues such as KULT and Pluto infuse fresh energy into the city’s nightlife, drawing in crowds with their eclectic programming and vibrant atmospheres. Ääniwalli

Nestled in the industrial heart of Vallila, Ääniwalli is a dancefloor oasis amidst a concrete desert. Built inside an old industrial hall, the venue has, in just over a decade, become perhaps the most important arena for electronic music in the city. Notable highlights in its programming include the hit club nights by the queer rave collective Korgy, which has caused a stir also at Flow Festival. Another must-visit is the consistently high-quality Test Pressing events, curated by Lil’ Tony. During the summer, don’t miss the VUM Open Air Sunday parties – undoubtedly the most laid-back way to spend a lazy Sunday in Helsinki. At the start of 2024, Ääniwalli underwent extensive renovations, completely upgrading its facilities, including the lighting and sound system. Thanks to the new layout, the venue now has a capacity of approximately 1,000 clubbers.

Meanwhile, the upstairs mirror hall offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with an interior perfect for Instagram-worthy moments. Currently, KULT’s programme is curated by DJ Victoria, promising “Focus On” specials centred around artists and musical phenomena. Expect a mix of electro, house, disco, and techno. Plans are also underway to incorporate a wide range of live music.
