Suvilahti
Sörnäisten rantatie 22 / Kaasutehtaankatu 1, 00540 Helsinki
Suvilahti cultural centre is a unique historic environment right next to the growing Kalasatama district. The former power plant comprises nine buildings, two large gasometers, that have become local landmarks and 2,5 hectares of open-air yard space. Suvilahti is home to a number of cultural actors from authors to a brewery bar and from photographers to new circus. Especially in summer, Suvilahti is a venue for major public city culture and music events and festivals. Suvilahti’s event spaces can be rented on a short-term basis, often for gigs, filming and photo shoots, exhibitions, performances and private events.
