Kuuluvainen’s Metsän peitto (Gummerus 2024) is a magical novel about the relationship with nature and how the mind can break. Maliranta’s Pinnan alta (Docendo 2024) gives cause to be optimistic about the economy.

Linnea Kuuluvainen studied the Finnish language and creative writing at the University of Turku. She, her husband, and their three dogs live in a peat bog forest near Turku.

Mika Maliranta (PhD) is the director of the Labour Institute for Economic Research LABORE and a professor at the University of Jyväskylä. He has focused on the drivers of economic growth: that of productivity and the functioning of the labour market. He is also chairman of the OECD's Industry Sector Analysis Working Group, vice-chairman of the Finnish Council of Regulatory Impact Analysis and member of the Finnish Productivity Board. Together with Matti Apunen, he is the creator of popular economic policy podcast, M&A, which launched in 2017.
