The Ocean can be seen as a simple and beautiful metaphor of our fluid reality where we are all connected, and we all share 'the same water'. The sound of the waves coming and going can carry many stories, messages and memories from different lands and times. Seashells can encourage to listen closely to the tiniest and quietest sounds, and if one is lucky enough a mysterious mermaid song can emerge from far away inviting us to sing along.
The Ocean and salty water hold a lot of history and images to tickle our imagination, and for Livia and Adriano these images will be at the roots of a musical journey of improvisation, exploration, and soundscapes to enjoy together.
The performance will be an occasion also to get to know different kind of flutes, the berimbau and a few percussions; every instrument carry different traditions and histories too, and what we want to celebrate with this concert is what happens when instruments, imaginations and stories come together.
