Tataki | Sambaki – Global Club Nights

Global Club Nights (GCN) is a club series where people who deal and work with music gather with those who love and enjoy it, to celebrate and create a safe, inclusive, and creative environment.

TATAKI is a musical act led by Taiwanese shamisen player Zuiko and Finnish drummer/singer Aarne. Zuiko and Aarne share a common characteristic: they both strike their instruments! Whether it’s the bachi hitting the strings of the shamisen or the drumsticks hitting the drums, their performance is highly rooted in percussive sounds and rhythmical elements. With background in rock music in combination with the influence of Japanese music, TATAKI takes you on a joyous and wild journey! Get ready for some hard hitting and freshly arranged traditional pieces from Japan, pop songs from Taiwan, groovy originals, and who knows, maybe some improvisation!

Sambaki is a band with roots in Brazil and members from around the world. With 10 years on the road, Sambaki has been captivating audiences with their covers of popular Brazilian songs and styles. Their music is a fusion of samba, forró, and other Brazilian rhythms that will have you dancing and singing along in no time. Each performance is a unique celebration of the rich musical traditions and culture of Brazil.
