Early this year, Liisa Akimof released a new album, Kaikenlaista uutta tulossa.

The album was very well received:

"Akimof wipes the slate clean with her anarchy" (Riffi)

“Liisa Akimof hits the bull's-eye with the period portrayal on her new album” (Demokraatti) “Liisa Akimof is entirely rock” (Keskisuomalainen)

With the new album, its musicians formed the band, Yökerho.

"They include renowned indie musicians from the younger generation, who combine irony, awareness and sincerity in what they do in a way similar to Akimof herself" (Ahti Väntänen, Musiikkikirjastot).

Yökerho features Mikko Siltanen (bass), Pekka Tuomi (guitar), Antti Vuorenmaa (keyboards) and Sebastian Krühn (drums).

Liisa Akimof & Yökerho's spring gigs have become talking points with their surprising energy. In addition to new songs, the set includes some of Akimof's classics, such as 1986’s Kevät, by Tavaramarkkinat.

The concert is part of the Meidän Uusimaa concert series supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Uusimaa Regional Fund.
