Founded in 2005, the Kamarikesä festival is Helsinki's oldest chamber music festival.
Founded in 2005, the Kamarikesä festival is Helsinki's oldest chamber music festival, which has established itself as part of Helsinki's cultural events in the summer. It is the only festival in Finland focused on encouraging, employing and highlighting young musicians with long-term goals. It wants to act as a springboard for young Finnish classical music expertise and raise more and more young talents to the general public's awareness.
Over the years, Kamarikesa has received widespread praise for its fresh and high-quality programs from both the public and the media. The mission of the festival organized by Ritarikatu ry is to offer young classical music talents valuable performance opportunities as festival artists.
This year, Kamarikesa will be held for the eighteenth time, 3-5. August 2023 at the House of Nobility Helsinki. There are a total of five events coming up, three chamber music concerts starting at 7 p.m., one family concert and one candlelight late-night concert. More detailed information can be found on the event website www.kamarikesa.fi.
