Johanna Iivanainen and Mikko Iivanainen invite you to calm down in front of the winter fire before Christmas.

Johanna Iivanainen and Mikko Iivanainen invite you to calm down in front of the winter fire before Christmas.

For their tour, the Iivanainens have prepared a warm-hearted repertoire of traditional Christmas carols and newer Christmassy tunes, including the peaceful ‘Mökit nukkuu lumiset’, the classic ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ and their own song written especially for this tour, ‘Talven tulilla’.

The couple have been making stylish, emotive and soulful music together for more than 20 years.

Johanna Iivanainen is best known by the general public as the soloist in the SuomiLOVE TV show from 2014 to 2019. Johanna’s fresh, natural stage appeal and rich interpretations have gained her great popularity. She is a strikingly versatile artist: she has recorded jazz, a cappella, pop, dance and children’s music. Iivanainen’s exceptionally comprehensive discography includes more than 50 recordings.

Mikko Iivanainen is a versatile guitar master who has collaborated not only with his wife Johanna, but also with Maria Kalaniemi, Timo Alakotila, Edu Kettunen, Mika Kuokkanen and Juhani Aaltonen, among others. Painting with a large sound palette, the guitar artist has released three solo albums: prog-style ensemble album Last Room (2014) and solo guitar albums A River Runs Through It (2020) and Lullaby for Lost Souls (2023).
