JOKA ensemble’s repertoire draws influences and inspiration from Portuguese and Finnish backgrounds of its two founders, Kata Vuoristo and João Luís. Its repertoire alternate between conveying the shared melancholy and storytelling traditions of these two countries in both Finnish and Portuguese.
