Is there anything as nostalgic as classics from a hundred years ago? Luminous jazz vocalist Anna Inginmaa and the UMO Hort Septet lead us on a fast-paced tour of the speakeasies in Berlin and the cigarette smoke-filled clubs of Paris.

The concert will feature beloved songs from Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich, among others, and the music played will be Finnish, English, French and German. The conductor is Esko Heikkinen, who has also adapted the programme for the traditional Finnish horn septet.

Anna Inginmaa is an artist, a singer-songwriter whose intense interpretation and dark voice create a musical world, the scale of which extends from insightful reflection to an effortless melodrama that could paint over the largest canvas. Anna Inginmaa's website: www.annainginmaa.com

The UMO Horn Septet is a smaller ensemble assembled from the ranks of the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, whose musicians have extensive careers both at UMO and in numerous personal projects. UMO website: www.umohelsinki.fi
